He was born in Catania in 1984 where he attended the State Institute of Art. In 2003 he moved to Milan to follow the industrial design course at the IED (European Institute of Design). After finishing his studies at the age of 23 he already signed his first project for Segno di Leonardo Luce Italia, collaborating at the same time with the CRIED (IED research center) developing projects for companies such as Pirelli and Campari. In 2006 he founded the De-signum studio, starting some collaborations with important national and international realities. In 2014 he founded his studio. Designer with an iconic style, his projects stand out for their refined naturalness, clear and essential lines, translated into functional and heterogeneous objects. From his first project to date, Alessio Romano, he has received numerous awards from the Italian press and foreign. He has been selected by industry magazines such as Case da Abitare or Interni as one of the best young Under 35 designers. Some of his latest projects are on sale at the MoMA store in New York and Tokyo. In 2018 he won the Young Design Awards, selected as one of the best young designers on the Italian scene. He currently collaborates with Italian and international companies, as well as with Bugatti, such as Kundalini, Ekobo, Projects Watches.
