The tuna sauce is a tasty sauce, that can be eaten as an appetizer, accompanied by simple crostini, but also as a light main course. It can also be used to make tasty boiled potatoes, boiled vegetables, or to flavor sandwiches.

To make this recipe, use VENTO Regular jar.

Ingredients for 4 persons
  • 2 nr Anchovy fillets
  • 120 gr Corn oil
  • 4 nr Yolks
  • 2.5 gr Salt
  • 12 gr Capers
  • 100 gr Tuna in oil
Preparation for 4 persons step

  • 4 egg yolks, at room temperature
    120 g (4.2 oz) corn oil
    2,5 g (0.1 oz) salt
    2 anchovy fillets in oil
    100 g (3.5 oz) tuna in oil, drained
    12 g (0.4 oz) pickled or salted capers (carefully rinsed)
    A few drops of lemon juice or white wine vinegar
    ---------------------------
    Put into the Vento jar:
  • 4 egg yolks, at room temperature
    120 g (4.2 oz) corn oil
    2,5 g (0.1 oz) salt
    2 anchovy fillets in oil
    100 g (3.5 oz) tuna in oil, drained
    12 g (0.4 oz) pickled or salted capers (carefully rinsed)
    A few drops of lemon juice or white wine vinegar
    ---------------------------
    Put into the Vento jar:
    Yolks: 4 nr
  • 4 egg yolks, at room temperature
    120 g (4.2 oz) corn oil
    2,5 g (0.1 oz) salt
    2 anchovy fillets in oil
    100 g (3.5 oz) tuna in oil, drained
    12 g (0.4 oz) pickled or salted capers (carefully rinsed)
    A few drops of lemon juice or white wine vinegar

    Put into the Vento jar:
WARNING: ARE YOU SURE THE LID IS IN PLACE?
Well, now turn the knob and set the speed indicated in the following step.

Blend for 110 seconds at speed 14 (3000 Rounds Per Minute).
While Vento is blending, remove the measuring filler cup from the lid, pour gradually the corn oil into the mix and add the anchovy fillets, the tuna and the capers.
Now press STOP to end the blending.

Use the PULSE function: keep the knob pushed for 5 seconds (speed 60 - 15000 Rounds Per Minute).
Repeat the step three times.

Seasoning to taste with a pinch of salt and a few drops of lemon juice or white wine vinegar.
WARNING: ARE YOU SURE THE LID IS IN PLACE?
Well, now turn the knob and set the speed indicated in the following step.

Blend for 20 seconds at speed 14 (3000 Rounds Per Minute).
Now press STOP to end the blending.
